Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year!

At Maxwell Elementary, we nurture a learning environment that promotes academic success coupled with responsible and respectful social development for all students. Students' progress toward mastery of California State Standards is measured throughout the year, enabling teachers to differentiate for individual student learning and acceleration. Students are recognized for effort, citizenship, leadership, achievement and perfect attendance through assemblies, our Student-of-the-Week program and Trimester awards.

We recognize that parents are important partners in our educational community and strive to have 100% parent participation. We encourage parents to become involved in a variety of ways from volunteering in the classroom, supporting school beautification projects, supporting learning at home, to membership in school-based organizations to provide valuable input in the decision-making process as well as at the advisory level.
